Hatched in a lab. Headed for orbit.
Somewhere below a research dome one duck got fitted with a chrome cap and a pair of goggles and decided the pool wasn't big enough. $PONS is the coin that came out of that decision.
Field notes
SPECIMEN AQ-01The facility never gave it a real name. On the intake sheet it was just Specimen AQ-01 — a duckling pulled from a control group that wasn't supposed to react to anything. It reacted to everything: the pressure glass the filtered light and the hum of the pump room at 3am. Somebody on staff started calling it Pons Nas and it stuck harder than any of the official designations did.
They built the cap and goggles to monitor it during dive trials — heart rate depth tolerance and how long it could hold its breath while the tank lights shifted from white to that permanent pale green. AQ-01 kept going past every benchmark they set then kept going past the ones they added after that. Nobody has fully explained why. The working theory pinned to a corkboard nobody's taken down is that the duck simply decided the tank was too small.
$PONS isn't a stock photo of a duck. It's the log of what happens when something outgrows the container it was raised in — one dive one depth marker one community at a time all the way to the surface and past it.

$PONS goes live on pump.fun. Liquidity locked. Contract renounced. Dossier published. The tank fills up.
CompleteThe dive begins
First 1000 holders. Telegram and X community rituals kick off. First raid squads formed. First fan art of the dossier goes up.
In progressPressure test
CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko listings. First CEX conversations. A paid marketing push. And the dossier gets a second chapter.
